 Taming Of The Shrew 
 

 At  the 
UNICORN FACTORY in LISBON's
Marvila/Beato District

Performance dates

 April 11th & 12th

at 14:00 & 19:00 both days (4 performances ONLY)

AUDITION details below: 

"No" ACTING EXPERIENCE is required
 - Our cast members include TOP PROFESSIONAL ACTORS and members who are NEW TO ACTING 
working together to form a JOYFUL ensemble of players.
- OPEN AIR SHAKESPEARE is also dedicated to
 DEI (DIVERSITY, EQUITY and INCLUSION).
 
- ALL
 are welcome.


The SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS
- ZOOM rehearsals begin in Mid-January and are usually once each week in the evening LISBON TIME.
- IN-PERSON rehearsals begin Saturday, April 4th in the early evening (Easter Sunday is off) and begin again on April 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th, with some smaller roles not needing to attend all the in-person rehearsals. On April 10th is the (mandatory) DRESS REHEARSAL
ALL Cast members are paid a stipend for participating in the rehearsals and performances at a
similar rate to other NON-PROFIT performing arts and educational organizations.
  


 Submitting a "SELF-TAPED" VIDEO MONOLOGUE 
(Please note: Actors with a DEMO REEL can submit that link instead - NO self-tape needed)
Pick a monologue from any of Shakespeare's plays 
  - 1 to 2 MINUTES LONG maximum  
- We recommend using a smart-phone to film yourself (It is like doing a video selfie)
- The monologue does not need to be memorized but you should look into the lens as much as possible  
- UPLOAD your audition to your personal YOUTUBE or VIMEO page
- Fill out the information on our contact page
